Planes:Terminal (Left Luggage)
This is one of the Terminal pages. We use them to discuss the technical issues, policies, and operations of Plane Spotting World. The Terminal is divided into sections covering these different aspects, but if you can't decide which to use, try Left Luggage. You can see all station cafe sections at once here. Please sign and date your posts (by typing ~~~~ at the end).

{{Documentation/docname}} seems not to workAnd it's beyond me! All I did was drag a load of WP templates over. Hmmmm. Tim Trent 12:17, 17 January 2008 (UTC)
Server issuesWe have an issue with our server which will be solved within 2 weeks. We apologise for oddities of service. Tim Trent 11:13, 23 May 2008 (UTC)
Positive changesWe are on a new serverWe outgrew the previous one. Weird limits made our position there suddenly untenable. We know they annoyed our users, too. But that is history. Tim Trent 17:11, 17 June 2008 (UTC) Logged in users no longer see advertsWe have found out how to suppress them for you when you are logged in. If you woudl like to see the adverts please log out and browse in that mode. Tim Trent 17:11, 17 June 2008 (UTC) As you know the adverts support the server expenses, and we depend on them for our day to day running costs. But regular users "tune them out" and there is no point in even bothering to display them. The folks who click adverts are the casual users, not the core team. Tim Trent 17:11, 17 June 2008 (UTC) Advert placementWe've moved the advert placement to unclutter the right hand margn and to make the adverts more attractive for the casual surfer to click. We have a substantially more costly (and powerful) server, and we need to offset the expenses somehow. We view this as non intrusive and attractive. Advert placement may move during the next few weeks as we test results. Tim Trent 17:11, 17 June 2008 (UTC) Server environmentWe have now migrated all SpottingWorld to a substantially faster web environment on the new server. This ought to make life even easier. Tim Trent 15:56, 22 June 2008 (UTC) A380 production listThis is just to thank everybody for their contributions and tidying up the list. This list looks great at the moment and very up to date.
