Zenith Aircraft Company

From PlaneSpottingWorld, for aviation fans everywhere

Zenith Aircraft Company is in the exclusive business of designing, developing and manufacturing kit aircraft. The independent, privately-owned company was formed in 1992 in Mexico, Missouri, centrally located in the United States, and is based in 20,000+ sq.ft. production facilities at Mexico Memorial Airport. Zenith Aircraft Company has acquired the exclusive rights to manufacture and market Zenair™ kit aircraft designs from designer Chris Heintz of Zenair Ltd. Kit designs manufactured by the company include the two-seat STOL CH 701, a high-wing all-metal short take-off and landing design, and the two-seat ZODIAC XL, an all-metal low-wing cruiser. These designs meet the FAA's Light-sport Aircraft (LSA) definition for operation by Sport Pilots. The company also produces and markets the all-metal, high-wing STOL CH 801 design, a four-seat utility version of STOL CH 701. Zenith Aircraft designs may be built from plans-only (blueprints), selected parts, kits, or from Quick-Build Kits in just a few hundred hours.
