Current Problems

User contributions 'Older xxxx' not working

  • Date reported: 12:42, 27 December 2007 (UTC)
  • Reported by: EdJogg
  • Date resolved: date resolved here
  • Final resolution: final resolution here

Description

On the 'User contributions' page, the 'Older xxxx' control (where xxxx is the number of edits to show on a page) does not work. It should show a set of changes dated prior to the set currently shown, but it just re-displays the latest xxxx.

The address bar text may be adjusted to set a different limit (upto 5000 tried successfully!), but although the offset date is correctly updated in the address bar parameters, the contributions list always starts from the most recent contribution, rather than the offset date.

  • Wheen this is solved I hope it solves the issue of being unable to edit sections after the journal on a talk page, too. I can edit it, but no text is seen inthe edit window. Tim Trent 22:47, 27 December 2007 (UTC)

Ive managed to solve the centering problem and the sections being displayed in the TOC. Have a look at the 3 edits I made entitled - fixed, fix 2,fix 3 and fixed skin problem for IE. at swplane:User:Tbo 157/Sandbox. Have a look at swplane:User:Tbo 157/Sandbox 2, where Ive recreated a user talk page format, to see the effect. If the same edits are made on the TSW TJ page, there should be no problems.

What I did on the page was to put a <div> at the top of the page and a |} followed by a </div> at the very bottom of the page. I then replaced all the <h2 style with <div style and all the </h2> with </div>. h2 style makes them headers and so all the sections are displayed on the TOC. The lack of div tags at the top and bottom of the page caused the formatting to be applied to everything under it. The center tags centered the skin in IE so I replaced it with an alternative centering method.

If there are any further problems, please comment on them here. Thanks. Tbo 157 17:15, 28 December 2007 (UTC)

I added the Image Gallery function on my user page at TSW, but i got the following code:UNIQ7eee958075702669-gallery-00000001-QINU instead. Is it something i've done or a genuine bug? Bluegoblin7 15:56, 31 December 2007 (UTC) Bluegoblin7 15:56, 31 December 2007 (UTC)

You need a div tag before and after the gallery tag. Thanks. Tbo 157 17:37, 31 December 2007 (UTC)

20px unfortunately it hasnt worked...
Then it must be the format of your user page. Your userboxes are some how obstructing the gallery from displaying correctly. Preview the page without the userboxes and youll see what I mean. Tbo 157 17:54, 31 December 2007 (UTC)
Template:Tick yep works then. Todo:Reorganise UserPage! Bluegoblin7 18:04, 31 December 2007 (UTC)
